Macaroni Grill

We went to Macaroni Grill for the first time yesterday and I was very impressed with both the service and the food. We usually eat out once a month or so; usually to the Olive Garden. On advice of a friend we tried out Macaroni Grill instead and are very glad we did.

What won me over was the service. Our server was extremely attentive and we were even visited by not one, but two managers. I almost felt famous.

Macaroni Grill serves Italian food, but it's definitely not typical. Everything tastes exceptionally fresh and the proportions are abundant. I wound up taking part of mine home and it's rare that happens at the Olive Garden.

They have a Build Your Own Pasta dish. Just ask the server for a card and you can pick you sauce, what you want on the pasta from the standpoint of veggies and cheese, and the type of pasta you want. I ordered spaghetti with this delicious pesta sauce, tossed with grilled mushrooms and broccoli and topped with four huge mushrooms stuffed with mozzarella cheese. It was a feast to behold.

The prices aren't too bad either. Our bill came out to about $34.00 including the tip, which is reasonable considering the portions, service and overall ambiance.

Macaroni Grill is a place that we plan to visit again as soon as possible. My stomach is rumbling in anticipation just thinking about it.
